French born, Loic Valmy -(pronounce Lo-eek)-
has been an Artistic Director, a Vocal coach, a
song writer and a Movie Score composer for more
than 20 years.
Actually, his career started much earlier,
when he was just a child and got chosen to be in a
children's choir at the age of 6. That's when he
started to learn singing with the 'classical'
method. Very quickly, he discovered a passion for
Musicals.
He was only 15 when his first musical,
written and composed
by him, got produced in France. From
then, he sang in different bands, Jazz
orchestras and performed gigs all around France.
At age 19, he entered the prestigious
"Alice
Dona's Performing Arts School" in Paris where students
followed an intensive 2 year program of high standard
training in singing, song
writing, composing, piano, guitar, drums, dance
(modern jazz), comedy, theatre and physical
expression.
It is in that same
school that Loic will meet his mentor, Master Anton
Valery. Through his teaching, Loic will discover a
new approach to singing, more intense, more
efficient, but also much more natural for the
voice, and therefore, much faster than the
classical method. That same mentor then taught Loic how to teach.
"It's not enough to know how to sing. Being a
good singer doesn't make you a good teacher.
Teaching is an art that requires so much more
than just singing. First, you have to train
harder and learn every possible technique and
methods than just the ones you would need as a
singer; moreover, teaching takes love,
passion, commitment; you can sing for yourself,
but when you teach, it's for the others, never
for you. You give yourself and everything you
know, everything you've ever learned is for
them. Very young, I knew I was lucky to be born
with 'a voice that could sing' and I knew I had
to find a way to pay that back somehow. A long
time ago, a wise man said:
"The purpose of Life
is to find your gift;
but the meaning of Life is
to give it away".

Anna says:
"In 3
weeks with Loic, my voice became 100
times better and stronger than in 3
months with my previous singing
teacher. And I feel so much more
confident now."

Bonnie says:
"I've
been a student of Loic Valmy for the
past 18 months and I can't recommend him
enough. Through his teaching you will
discover more about yourself than you
thought possible. Sometimes you meet
people that impact your life in such a
positive way, Loic is one of those
people" |

Jane O. says
"I hate
him. He's got that sort of X-ray vision
thing. It's like he sees through you
like you were made of glass. He can see
everything, our fears, our thoughts, the
way we feel, when we're focused, when
we're not. You can't hide anything, it's
really annoying. Don't tell him I said
that."
